SIOUX FALLS, SOUTH DAKOTA: Release August 17, 2021

For Immediate Release

Wheelco is giving back to the community by participating in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Light The Night Walk at Falls Park in Sioux Falls, SD on Thursday, September 16th, 2021. The Light The Night event will gather the Sioux Falls Community together to celebrate, honor and remember those touched by cancer.

While Wheelco supports many organizations, nonprofits, and charities, they contribute especially to those who endow children initiatives. This is especially so with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). Since 1949, LLS has invested nearly $1.3 billion in groundbreaking research, pioneering many of today’s most innovative approaches. They work tirelessly to find cures and ensure patients can access the lifesaving treatments they need. When someone experiences the fear and uncertainty of a cancer diagnosis, LLS provides hope, compassion, education and support. And together, we are making an impact in the cancer communities across the nation.

As an established truck and trailer distribution leader in the Midwest, Wheelco’s commitment to high-quality products and exceptional customer service has allowed them to thrive in many communities for over half a century. Wheelco has become a prominent part of these communities, investing not only in their employees but customers, families, and neighbors.

“Investing in communities is a great way to give back to those who have helped support our business—whether it is giving back to our employees and their families, our business partners, or the neighborhoods we live in.” -Steve Stich, third-generation family owner

Wheelco Truck & Trailer is thrilled to not only donate to the cause both in monetary support but also dedicating time and personnel. Wheelco will be providing golf cart rides to VIP and handicapped persons from the parking lots to a Wheelco tent near the main entrance of the event. Additionally, Wheelco has established the #WheelcoWarriors team, made up of employees, families, and friends who support LLS’s cause. Join Wheelco in walking side-by-side with other survivors, families, and friends of those who have been directly affected by cancer.

Can’t make the event but want to contribute? Click on our team link here. Participants that join team #WheelcoWarriors and fundraise $100 or more will receive a free t-shirt. Our fundraising efforts will bring light to the darkness of cancer in your community and across the country.
